We urge you to carefully read the T & C's before making a booking with us. We want your experience with us to be professional, fun and hassle free from beginning to end.
Terms and conditions of booking
Bookings are accepted on these terms and conditions only. No condition may be added, omitted or altered unless we have agreed it in writing with you. Any addition omission or alteration that we may agree does not affect any other term or condition. When you pay the deposit, you will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
Once a booking has been accepted you must immediately pay the deposit agreed. Until we have received the deposit, we are under no obligation to carry out any of our obligations.
• Deposit is 50% of total quote
• Remaining balance to be settled before the wedding date
If you cancel this booking: The deposit is none refundable. Any cancellation must be notified to us in writing by email.
In the event of exceeding the times stated there will be an inevitable delay in your media being created.
In the unlikely event that the assigned photographer/videographer(s) is unable to attend your event due to unforeseen circumstances, Prime Films will appoint another suitable photographer/videographer(s) to attend the event on their behalf to undertake the photography/videography to his/her best ability.
Although we will use every reasonable effort to record significant parts of the Event (including any part of the ceremony) the decision as to what is comprised in the recording is in our absolute discretion.
Whilst the photographer/videographer(s) shall endeavour to fulfil the clients’ requirements to record significant parts of the Event, Prime Films cannot be held responsible for non-availability of subjects or adverse conditions which may delay the progress of proceedings preventing the coverage of certain specified shots.
We are fully insured with public liability and indemnity. This means our insurance will protect you and ourselves from any major accidents, and can provide compensation due to severe negligence, in any event.
Ownership of the Master Copy and Copyright
The master tape remains our property. Copyright in the master tape is vested in us.
This means that:
- we reserve the right to dispose of the master tape after the client has received a copy of the photo / video(s).
- we do not accept liability in relation to any loss of and/or damage to the master tape after the client has received a copy of the photo/ video(s).
We will request permission from you to publicly advertise you video however, we reserve the right after you have received your copy of the video, to show the video or part of it to any prospective client who may wish to see a sample of our work or to use on social media platforms such as Website, Facebook and Youtube etc.
If you ask us to provide any extra services after you have agreed and deposited for a Booking, these may be subject to additional payments which we will agree with you. Those extra services will, if accepted by us, be carried out on the basis of these terms and conditions
Please note that it is your responsibility to obtain the consent from the owners of the venue where the Event is being held and all other persons involved in the Event, such as any person conducting the ceremony, the choir organist and other musicians to record the Event before it takes place and to pay any fees charged by them. If you fail to do so, this may mean that we are unable to record the ceremony or the Event or release the video to you until that consent (which is required for copyright reasons) has been obtained.
The wedding media should be ready for collection or delivery within two to four months of the wedding date, depending upon workload. Any delay from customer side in providing us any requested information or any special requirements in editing the film or delay due to any balance due is not taken into account.
We will try to agree a schedule of contents of the recording with you. Please note that the contents of that schedule may need adjustment on the day according to any unforeseen circumstances.
For events involving a church, temple ceremony or at certain other venues, the photographer/videographer(s) movements are sometimes restricted by the priest or pundit: photographing of parts or even all of the ceremony or occasion may be restricted or prohibited, as may the use of artificial lighting. Prime films cannot accept responsibility for limited coverage in such circumstances.
We are bound to amend any technical errors i.e. misspelled names etc. We will not amend any art work or where it comes to personal liking of effects, background music etc. We would be happy to amend footage according to your taste (inclusion or exclusion of specific parts, background music etc) at an extra cost which will be agreed between both of us to cover editor's time.
Although we post your Discs's by recorded delivery, it is your responsibility to make sure you have received/collected your film within 6 months from the wedding day. We do not take any responsibility of your data after that time unless you have informed us in writing by e-mail.
If you have opted for our digital media delivery service, you will be advised the service will last 1 year from the delivery of your wedding film. Once the time period expires, we are no longer responsible for the wedding film on the server. We will send you the Mp4 files via an online link as part of the service, where you will own the digital copy to use at your discretion.
Note : this service is completely free for 1 year. It cannot be extended yearly (without additional costs) due to online storage space.
Although we make every effort to be at the venue before the agreed time. In case of any delay due to no fault of our own, i.e. any major traffic accident on motorway, adverse weather condition etc, we would not be able to take responsibility as this is unforseen circumstance, however, we will en devour to make up the time for the event
Where Prime Films has to cancel the event, due to circumstances beyond their control the full amount of the deposit and any further payments received will be returned to the client(s).
If Prime Films did not turn up to cover the event, your full payment will be refunded in full.
Providing parking at the venue is customers responsibility.
We will use all reasonable efforts to deal with any complaint promptly and if it is something that is justified and we can remedy, we will do so.
All complaints should be raised by the client directly to Prime Films in writing within 14 days of the occurrence which gives rise to the complaint. Prime Films will consider the complaint and shall provide a response to the client within 14 days of receipt of the complaint.
